Voices about David Villa-Lobos

Basically, being a good person is someone who always obeys life’s rules in society. Good people always respect the rights of other human beings, as pressured by the laws of nature, in the same way that they would want to be respected. In my opinion, David-Villa Lobos is the best example from the view of this general statement. David is intelligent, honest and special with his great sense of humor. He has an outstanding personal attitude towards other human beings. Every time that I talk with David, I am impressed with his breadth of knowledge. That’s why he encourages not only me, but many others to ask him for advice, which always proves positive.
Socrates defines a good person as having virtue, wisdom or knowledge, and a certain goodness of the soul. This kind of person is David Villa-Lobos and that’s why he is so precious for me, and to the city of San Francisco.

David Villa-Lobos is generous and kind with everyone. He always likes to help others, and doesn't expect anything in return.
David Villa-Lobos is my older friend and whenever I see him, I like to sit with him and have a talk. He is the kind of person you admire , the way he talks, and the topics he discusses.
Sometimes if I have a problem, I like David to share with me and advise me on what to do to solve that problem. He always tells me to be honest with myself, and respect other’s opinions.
This kind of person, David Villa-Lobos, will be very suitable to serve as supervisor in San Francisco’s district six.

David Villa-Lobos has demonstrated that he is a person of the community with integrity, concerned about the betterment of the lives of his neighbors, knowledgeable about helpful resources, a servant of the people, and a track record that will show his ongoing involvement . I believe that the qualities that David Villa-Lobos has publicly demonstrated would enhance his ability to represent district six well if elected.Edward Evans

In the many years I have known David Villa-Lobos he has always been a forthright and honest person in all his dealings. His sincere interest in the betterment for conditions effecting his Tenderloin neighbors and others throughout The City have been noteworthy.
Some of the many issues I have worked with David are in the areas of public safety, health care, transportation, services for seniors and persons with disabilities, as well as many of the quality of life issues facing all San Franciscans.
David has the educational background and lifetime experiences it takes to be a great leader. I know that as Supervisor for District 6 he will represent all of the people residing, working and creating business opportunities for the district.

I would like to personally contribute a few comments regarding the upcoming elections in 2010 for Supervisor in District 6. Although the elections are still over a year away, it is not too soon to be thinking about potential candidates and what we should expect from our
Supervisor. I would like you to consider Mr. David Villa-Lobos.
David Villa-Lobos personifies what is essential in an elected
representative of our District 6. The basis of good leadership is
honorable character and selfless service to and for others. He has
demonstrated that time and time again during his tenure as Director of
the Community Leadership Alliance. He has been not only willing, but
able and capable of providing that certain element of consensus
building within the district and has successfully negotiated and
mediated resolutions to some very challenging and unique district 6
neighborhood issues. He is a respected leader who can concentrate on
what he is and this reveals his belief and commitment to the district
and his character. He is a motivating presence that through example
demonstrates committment and dedication. I can think of no other
individual in District 6 who deserves our support for Supervisor and
we can be assured that our Supervisor will continue his leadership at
the city government level where it is desperately needed.

"Intelligent, compassionate, elegantly agressive advocate for quality of life issues for D-6, David Villa-Lobos represents the finest potential for leadership on the Board of Supervisors. A vote YES, for David Villa-Lobos, is a vote for responsible representation for a city that is defined by its unique diversity, sensitivity, and human service. I've known the man for 20 years and am proud to say he cares enough to work tirelelessly to help mantain and creatively innovate open communication between the district's constituents and all the other providers of services. TOGETHER WE CAN is the operative phrase. I thank you David for being our friend and the person you are!
